2. Overview
This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or marketing tools and loads fonts from our own server. We only process data when you visit the site (server logs), enter the giveaway or actively load the Steam widget.
3. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Netlify processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Netlify. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, additionally, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Giveaway
Which data?
- the link to your Steam profile and, if provided, your Steam name
- your email address
- optionally your Discord name
- which creator sent you, the levels and tickets you selected
- your confirmations regarding wishlist, age, residence and the terms of participation
- for winners, additionally name and delivery address for shipping
For what purpose and on what legal basis?
We process the data to run the giveaway: assigning tickets, drawing and verifying winners, notifying them and shipping prizes. The legal basis is the performance of the giveaway as a contractual relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). In addition, we evaluate anonymously how many entries came through which creator (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in evaluating the campaign).
Who receives the data?
- Netlify stores the form entries as a processor (see section 3).
- Dreamhaven (Dreamhaven, Inc., USA), the publisher of Shadowstone, only receives the Steam profile links of the drawn participants in order to check wishlist and game progress. This transfer to the USA is necessary to run the giveaway (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).
- Shipping providers receive the winners' name and delivery address for delivery.
Your data is not passed on for advertising purposes and is not used for newsletters.
How long?
We delete the data of all participants no later than three months after the giveaway ends. Winners' data is kept for as long as statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. for shipping and accounting records).
Do you have to provide the data?
The fields marked * are required to enter. Without them, participation is not possible.
5. Steam widget
On the start page, you can load a widget of the Shadowstone Steam page. It is only embedded after you click “Load Steam widget”. Your browser then connects to servers of Valve Corporation, PO Box 1688, Bellevue, WA 98009, USA, transmitting among other things your IP address; Steam may also set cookies. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Valve is responsible for any further processing: Valve's privacy policy. Links to the Steam page and to Discord open external services for which their operators are responsible.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. If you withdraw your entry, we delete your giveaway data; you can then no longer take part in the draw. Just email us at quest@ogcollective.de.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for us: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
